Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP)

The Taiwan Tech laboratory internship program is designed for students from abroad who are interested in doing short-term research work in Taiwan Tech. This program provides opportunities to participate in cutting-edge research projects, to make contributions to their fields of research, and to collaborate with other international researchers. 

Overview

Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE) launched the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) to encourage more international students to participate in short-term professional internship projects organized by Taiwanese universities and colleges. Participants can carry out an up-to-six-month internship experience at Taiwan Tech with funding from the MOE. The scholarship is reserved and conducted for our partner universities by OIA, Taiwan Tech.

Duration

2 - 6 months

Scholarship Amount

  • Total Stipend: Roughly 2,800 - 5,000 USD for 6-month stay (depends on length of the stay, purpose of project and country)
  • This is a non-renewable scholarship.

Application Deadline

  • First wave: until April 5, 2024
  • Second wave: until June 5, 2024
  • Third wave: until September 6, 2024

Eligibility

  • International students who have not received a PhD degree.
  • Individuals below are NOT eligible for the TEEP scholarship:
  1. Individuals holding Chinese citizenship.
  2. Individuals who are currently studying in Taiwan.
  3. Individuals who will receive any other financial benefits from Taiwan’s governmental institutions at the same period.
  4. Individuals who had already received 6 months stipend from the TEEP program.

Revocation

The scholarship will be revoked immediately if the recipient violates the regulations of the University or the R.O.C. laws
