Lab Research/Internship Program (LRP)
The Lab Research/Internship Program (LRP) allows students to be invited by a foreign university laboratory or research institution for research or learning, with the approval of their supervising professor or department head. The university or research institution is not limited to Taiwan Tech's partners; students can apply to any research lab, as long as it supports their career or research goals.
Students can independently contact or be introduced by their supervising professor to researchers in their field of study and inquire if the laboratory offers research or internship opportunities.
Below is a list of some laboratories or exchange research opportunities from Taiwan Tech's partner universities. This file is updated irregularly.
Before going abroad, students must obtain written consent or a recommendation from their supervising professor at Taiwan Tech and complete the necessary procedures for short-term study abroad.
Documents to submit before LRP:
Form for Short-Term Study Abroad (with required stamps).
Outbound research/internship commitment form.
Flight itinerary (to confirm departure and return dates).
Invitation letter from the research institution or laboratory.
Documents to submit upon return:
Within one month of completing the LRP, students must return to NTUST and submit above documents.
Students are responsible for finding their own financial support for the LRP. If students already receive a scholarship from Taiwan Tech, they should check with the scholarship sponsor to confirm whether the scholarship will remain valid during the LRP. Recipients of the Taiwan Scholarship are not eligible to apply for the LRP.
