Post Office

The Chunghwa Post is the official postal service of Taiwan with a wide network of branch offices all over the country. NTUST hosts an on-campus branch post office, located in the Student Center building.  It also provides banking services. All faculty and staff salaries, work-study wages for students, scholarships, and other types of university payments are deposited by the university into postal savings accounts. If you are granted a scholarship, you have to open an account at the Post Office Bank to receive your monthly stipends. The Office of International Affairs arranges local students (buddies)  who will help incoming international students with the procedures to open a postal savings account. If you have not been assigned a helper, please come to the OIA and we will be glad to arrange for a local student to assist you.
The Post Office Bank does not provide foreign currency exchange services. As currency exchange service in Taiwan is strictly regulated by the government, you can only exchange money at banks (e.g. Bank of Taiwan) or authorised businesses. There are no independent money changers on the streets like in other Asian cities.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 17:00 (Inter bank remittances, 8:30 - 15:30); Closed on national holidays. Opening hours may be reduced during the summer vacation
